How do you set an equation in y = form like this 2x+y<7

    2x + y < 7

    2x - 2x + y < 7 - 2x

    y < 7 + 2x

    y < - 2x + 7

    You subtract 2x from both sides to get why by itself. So in the end it would equal: y<-2x+7. Is that what you are meaning?
