A diver needs to descend to a depth of 100 feet. She wants to do it in 5 equal descendants. How far should she travel in each descent?

    She should travel 100/5 = 20 feet in each descent.

    divide total distance by the number od descents they want to do it in

    100 / 5 = 20

    so each one should be 20 feet
