Jim wants to put carpet in four identical rooms. Each room is 14 ft by 20.5 ft. A roll of carpet will cover 200 ft². How many rolls will he need?

    14 x 20.5 = 287

    That's for one room.

    287 x 4 = 1148

    For all rooms.

    He will need 6 rolls.

    If he had 5, it would be less than the required amount.
