The population of a town is currently 32,000 and it is projected to increase by 5% each year. What would be the population in 4 years?

    You would multiply 32,000 x 0.05 = 1,600 so

    1,600 x 4 = 6,400

    So the population would grow by 6,400 every 4 years.
