A spherical model of the earth has a diameter of 18 in. What is the approximate volume of the model?

    Volume of sphere = 4/3pi (r2). 4/3pi729. 4/3 * 729 = 972. 972 * pi = 3053.358. Round this to however many s. f./d. p. you need.
