    Add 3 to both sides

    3|n+3|<6

    divide both sides by 3

    |n+3|<6

    assume

    n+3<6

    - (n+3) <6

    minus 3 both sides

    n<3

    - (n+3) <6

    -n-3<6

    add 3

    -n<9

divide - 1, don't forget to flip sign

    n>-9

    -9
