Find the lengths of the three sides of a right triangle if the hypotenuse is 1 cm longer than the longer leg and 3 cm less than four times the shorter leg?

    So lets give the shorter leg a variable, x. we know that the hypotonouse is 4x-3 and the longer leg is 4x-4. you can then use pythagorean theorem to figure it out from there. x squared plus 4x-4 squared equals 4x-3 squared. if you still have problems for this question, send me a comment
