What does this mean 70>x>50?

And why is it considered to be an finite set?

    This basically means 70 is bigger than the number that x stands for, and x is bigger than 50.

    It can be infinite, because another number could then be lower than 50 (50>y for example), and another number can be lower than y, and so on.
