    Natural numbers are: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, ... although some authors include 0.

    Whole numbers are: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, ...

    Integer numbers include negatives: ... - 5, - 4, - 3, - 2, - 1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ...

    Rational numbers are: the ratio of two integers. They include the integers.

    Irrational number are ilimited decimals without periodicity.

    a) - 40: integer and rational (all integers are rational too)

    b) 5: natural, whole, integer and rational.

    c) - 14/11: rational

    d) √34: irrational. It is 5.83095189 ...

    e) - √16: √16 = 4 = > - √16 = - 4 = > integer and rational
