P=number of favorable cases/number of posible cases

the probability that 1 will have a red cover - 3/6=1/2

the probability that 1 will have a blue cover - 3/6=1/2

Probability means chances of coming of our favourable outcome / total no. of outcomes

    total books=6

    Red cover books=3

    Blue cover books=3

Probability of red cover = 3/6=1/2

Similarly probability of blue cover book=3/6=1/2
