    Area=1/2 times base times height

    lets say base and height=3 for one triangle and

    base and height=6 for another

    area1=1/2 times 3 times 3=9/2

    area2=1/2 tmes 6 times 6=18

    areas are

    9/2 to 18=9:36=1:4

    3:6=1:2

    is 1:2=1:4? no

    ratio is 1:4
