Multiply 1/3 times 5 in fractions

    1/3•5

    You cant multipy a fraction by a whole number so you do 1/3•5/1 and 1•5=5 (numerator) and 3•1=3 (denominator) so the answer is 5/3 and you could simplify that to

    1 2/3 (one and two-thirds)
