The number in between 1/2 and 5/6 can be determined by obtaining the least common multiple of the two denominators: 2 and 6. the east common multiple is 6. hence 1/2 is equal to 3/6 and 5/6 remains to be. we add the two which is equal to 8/6 and then divide by 2. The answer is 4/6
