Snow fell at a rate of 3/4 an inch/hour. how much snow fell in a period of 6 hours

    At 3/4 inch per hour, 4 1/2 inches of snow fell in 6 hours. 6/1 hours x 3/4 inch equals 18/4 inches. 18/4 equals 4 2/4 or 4 1/2 inches.
