The goal of each expression having a radical sign is that the value of the number under the radical sign should be equal to 0 or positive numbers. In this case, we equate 3x+4 to zero. x is equal to - 4/3. hence the domain should be x is numbers equal or greater than - 4/3. The range or y is equal to a minimum of - 5 until infinity.
