Suppose A and B are independent events. If P (A) = 0.7 and P (B) = 0.8, what is P (AB) ?

    This is the theory of probability and statistics, given that P (A) = 0.7 and P (B) = 0.8 we are required to calculate for the value of P (AB)

    thus:

    P (AB) = P (A) * P (B)

    P (AB) = 0.7*0.8

    P (AB) = 0.56
