A student scored 72 out of 100 on a test. if the maximum score on the next test is also 100 what score would he need to keep an average of 81

    72 + x = 2 (81)

    multiply 2 (81)

    72 + x = 162

    subtract 72 from both sides

    x = 90

    He would need to score 90% on his next test.
