    Equation: x+2x + (2x+8) = 148

    Solve for x: 5x+8=148

    5x=140

    x=28

    Plug back into original equation to find the other two amounts:

    28+2 (28) + [2 (28) + 8]=148

    Cecilia = 28, Oscar = 56, Tasha = 64

    Check: 28+56+64 = 148

    148=148

    The solutions work

    Cecilia has 28 fish, Oscar has 56 fish, and Tasha has 64 fish

    I think Cecilia has 66 fishes and Tasha has 82 fishes. The way how I figured it out is that first you divide 148 and get 74. Then for Cecilia you subtract 8 from 74 and get 66. For Tasha, you take 74 and add 8 and get 82. If you add both 82 and 66, you will get 148 fishes. I'm not sure, but I think that is the answer.
