Joshua has $1,000,278. Part A. He takes 12.90% out to buy something. How much money did he spend, and how much does he have left?

    To get from percentage move the decimal over to the left by 2 and multiply by total money:

    1,000,278 x 0.1290 = 129036. This is how much he took out.

    How much he has left is just the initial amount minus this

    1,000,278-129036 = 871242
