Max wants to buy some shorts that are priced at $8 each. He decided to buy a pair of sneakers for $39, but the total cost of the shorts and the sneakers must be less than $75.

Write an inequality to find out how many pairs of shorts max can buy.

    4 because if you subtract 39 from 75 you get 36. if you divide that by 8 you get 4.5 and then you round down.
