A seamstress has a piece of cloth that is 3 yards long. she cuts it into shorter lengths of 16inches each. how many shorter pieces can she cut

    You can make 6 and 3/4 shorter pieces because there are 36 inches in 1 yard and there are 3 yards so 36 times 3 equals 108 and 108 divided by 16 equals 6.75 which is equal to 6 3/4
