    at least twice her starting wage:

    9.25 x 2 = 18.50

    Let x be the number of months.

    9.25 + 0.15x = 18.50

    0.15x = 18.50 - 9.25

    0.15x = 9.25

    0.15x / 0.15 = 9.25 / 0.15

    x = 61.66 or 62 months.

    It would take 62 months or more than 5 years before Janice will earn twice her starting wage.
