What is the surface area in square feet of a rectangular prism with dimensions of 2 feet by 3 feet by 4 feet as shown in the net?

    Surface area of rectangular prism

    =2 (length*breadth) + 2 (length+height) + 2 (breadth*height)

    =2 (2feet*3feet) + 2 (2feet*4feet) + 2 (3feet*4feet)

    =2 (6feet^2) + 2 (8feet^2) + 2 (12feet^2)

    =12feet^2 + 16feet^2 + 24feet^2

    =52feet^2
