    A = 1/2 b h

    Given: The height of a triangle is twice the length of its base

    so h = 2b

    so

    A = 1/2 (b) (2b)

    A = b^2

    area of the triangle is 50m^2

    b^2 = 50

    b = √50

    b = 7.1

    h = 2b = 50

    answer

    the height = 14.2 m

    and

    the base = 7.1 m
