Bob is training for a race. bob ran 14.6 miles away from his home. then bob ran 9.8 miles towards his home. finally bob ran 5.3 miles away from his home. how far is bob from is home?

    Well, first you know that he ran 14.6 miles in the direction away from his home. Then, you know that he ran 9.8 miles towards his home, so if you take 9.8 away from 14.6, that would mean he is 4.8 miles from his home. Then, he ran another 5.3 miles away from his home, so you would add that onto the 4.8 miles he already is away. That would mean he is 10.1 miles away from home.
