There are 2 people measuring, each using 3 rulers.

    2 times 3 equals 6.

    12in. times 6 rulers equals 72 in.

12 in. equals 1 foot so 72/12 equals 6 feet.

The rug is around 6 feet long.

The equation is [ (3•2) •12]/12. It is 3 times 2 because each Baker uses 3 rulers. It is then times 12 because each ruler is 12 inches. It is then divided by 12 because it says to label in feet and there are 12 inches in a foot. Remember to label feet with your answer.
