If you drew a tree diagram showing how many ways 9 coins could be flipped, how many branches would it have?

    There would be 512 different branches.

    One you flip a coin, there are 2 branches in a tree diagram. Since, we are flipping a coin 9 times, we have to multiply 2 by itself 9 times.

    2^9 = 512 branches
