75-9g=5 (-4+2g)
On the right side distribute the 5 through out the parenthesis.
75-9g=-20+10g
Get all the g's to the side of the = sign with the least g's. There are - 9g on the left and 10g on the right. We want to put the 10g on the left side since there are less g's on that side. Since the 10g is positive and the equation must be the same on both sides, subtract it from both sides of the equation.
75-9g-10g=-20+10g-10g
Combine like terms to keep it from getting confusing. The 10g and the - 10g cancel because they are inverse operations. The - 9g and the - 10g combine to - 19.
79-19g=-20
Take the 75 to the other side of the = sign by subtracting it from both sides of the equation.
75-19g-75=-20-75
Combine like terms. On the left the 75 cancels with - 75 due to inverse operation. On the right - 20 and - 75 combines to - 95.
-19g = - 95
Divide on both sides by - 19. This is the inverse operation of - 19 multiplied by g.
-19g/-19=-95/-19
Finally simplify and you're done ... (the negatives and 19's cancel)
g=95/19
... unless you want to take it a step further and do the division.
g=5
P. S.
I was really bored.
