Two group of scouts each have 120 members. If 1/3 of the first group and 1/4 of the second group elect to go on a field trip, how many more scouts in the first group elected to go on the trip than in the second group?

    1/3 of 120 is 40

    1/4 of 120 is 30

    therefore, 10 more scouts in the first group elected to go on the trip
