Write an equation in standard form for the line described. through (7,9), parallel to x+6y=9

    The only thing you need from the parallel equation is the slope, which is - 1/6. Now you have an x, y, and m (slope), so plus that into the y=mx+b formula, solve for be, and the write the equation as y=-1/6x + (whatever you find the y-intercept to be)
