Simply you can start off by multiplying the 3 to 2/3 which would equal 6/3 (you multiply the 2 by three and the three on the bottom of the fraction by one) now you multiply 3/4 by 6/3. so 6 x 3 = 18; 4 x 3 = 12; 18/12 reduced is 3/2 which equals 1 1/2
