A bag contains these granola bars: 12 Apple, 14 Peanut Butter, 18 Raisin, 10 Oatmeal. You pick one bar at random. Find the probability of picking:

a) A peanut butter granola bar

b) An apple granola bar

    Hi, first you got to add 12+14+18+10=54

    54 will be your total.

    A peanut butter granola will be 14/54 which when you simplify it will be 7/27. Since there is 14 peanut butter granola it will be on the denominator which is the part.

    A apple granola will be 12/54 which when you simplify it will be 2/9. The part of the apple granola is 12.

    The number is a fraction.
