    Distance = rate * time

    Distance traveled by Jackie's horse d = 28t

    Distance traveled by Anabel's horse d = 24t + 1/5

    28t = 24t + 1/5 4t = 1/5 t = 1/20 The same distance is traveled in 1/20 hour

    d = 28t d = 28 (1/20) d = 1 2/5

    1 2/5 miles = 1.4 miles
