If x + 3 is the square root of 3x + 37, then (x+3) ^2 should equal 3x + 37 ...
(x + 3) ^2 =
(x + 3) (x + 3) =
x^2 + 6x + 9
Since it does not equal 3x + 37, the statement is false.
