    Hope you know that base and height are qualities of a 3D figure, not 2D ones like rectangles. The correct terms are length and width.

    Area=Length x width

    So we have

    100=25 * width 100=25 * width

    And thus we use division

    Width = 100:25=4 100:25=4

    So the width of the rectangle is 4 cm.
