The average temp at the south pole is - 54°f. The average temp on the equator is 92°f. How much warmer is the average temp on the equator than at the south pole?

    because 1 number is negative and 1 is positive, add the 2 numbers together to find the difference

    54 + 92 = 146

    so the equator is 146 degrees warmer
