The general rule for rounding is if the number you are rounding is followed by a 5,6,7,8, or 9 round the number up. Ex:48 rounded to the nearest 10 is 50.
if the number you are rounding is followed by 4,3,2,1, or 0 round it down. Ex:34 rounded to the nearest 10 is 30.

If it is 4 or below you round down for example 5.3 would round to 5 but if it is 5 or more you round up such as 5.8 would round to 6.
