A city lot has the shape of a right triangle whose hypotenuse is 8 ft longer than one of the other sides. The perimeter of the lot is 336 ft. How long is each side of the lot?

    Hypotenuse = 8 + x

    8 + x + x = 336

    2x = 328

    x = 164

    hypotenuse = 172 ft

    side = 82

    side = 82
