Let x^2+15x=49. What values make an equivalent number sentence after completing the square?

    Take 1/2 of linear cofient (15)

    15/2=7.5

    sqquare it and add to both sides

    56.25

    x^2+15x+56.25=49+56.25

    factor perfect square

    (x+7.5) ^2=105.25

    the value would be 56.25
