This week an employee is scheduled to work 6 hours each day Monday through Friday, and 3 1/2 hours on Saturday morning. If the employee's goal is to work 40 hours, how many additional hours must he work?

    6 times 5 which is 30

    30 plus 3.5 = 33.5

    40 minus 33.5 = 6.5

    He must work an additional 6 hours and 30 minutes.

    So 5 days m-f

    6x5=30 hours

    Add the 3.5 from Saturday

    33.5. To figure out how much on Sunday you subtract the total from the goal (40)

    40-33.5=6.5 hours on sunday
