A recipe for a batch of granola bars calls 1.3 pounds of dry cereal. Tara is making 6 batches of granola bars. She already has 2.9 pounds of dry cereal. How many more pounds of dry cereal does she need

    6 batches of granola bars would call for 6 * 1.3. Which equals 7.8. 7.8lbs total of dry cereal and she already has 2.9lbs so subtract that to get 7.8 - 2.9 = 4.9 lbs of dry cereal she needs.
