5/6q - 1/3q = 2/5
first change 1/3 so it has the denominator as 5/6; 1/3 = 2/6
5/6q - 2/6q = 2/5
combine like terms
1/2q = 2/5
multiply both sides by 2 to isolate the variable, q.
q = 4/5

Refine them first = 25-10 = 12q then switch side, then divided both side by 12 then simplify, the answer will be q=5/4
