Sharon has 2 gallons of water in a bucket. if she throws out 2/3 of the water, how much water left will she have left

The equation I would use is (2/3) * 2 which equals 1.33. Thats how much she would throw out though. So then you'd have to do 2-1.33 which means she would have about 0.67 US gallons. (I rounded the numbers, for more accurate leave them repeating)
