The quadratic formula is x = (-b+√b²-4ac) / 2a or x = (-b-√b²-4ac) / 2a
ax²+bx+c
a = 1
b = 5
c = - 6
Therefore, your answers is (-5+7) / 10 and (-5-7) / 10, or 1/5 and - 6/5.
