My husband brought a quarter pound of lemons from his lemon tree at work. We had to split them into 2 equal groups because he wanted to take some to his friends. How many would each of us get if we split it into 2 equal groups.

My wife brought home a quarter pound of thin-sliced kosher pastrami from the deli, and asked me to make two sandwiches for lunches ... one for her and one for me. If I use the scale to make both sandwiches exactly identical, how much sliced kosher pastrami should I weigh out for each sandwich?
