The ratio to the number of adults to students at the prom has to 1:10 last year there were 477 more students than adults at the prom if the school is expecting the same attendance this year how many adults have to attend the prom?

    1 adult per 10 students totally of 477 students

    477/10 = 47.7 adult

    can't have a. 7 of an adult so round up or down to 47/48
