Dog food costs 9$ per bag and cat food costs 8$ per bag. if billy spent 89$ and purchased 6 bags of dog food, how many bags of cat food did he buy?

    6 bags of dog food * $9 = 54

    $89 total - $54 spent on dog food = $35 spent on cat food
