Find the lcm of 12x, 40y

    The LCM of 12x, 40y will be found as follows

    12x=4*x*3

    40y=4*y*10

    since x is common factor in both, we shall use only one of it to have the LCM as

    4*x*y*3*10

    =120xy

    Hence the answer is 120xy
