To increase an amount by 35 percent, what single multiplier would you use?

    I am thinking the answer u want is 1.35 ... but there is another way to do this ...

    lets say u have 50 ... and u want to increase it by 35 ...

    50 (1.35) = 67.50

    another way ...

    50 + 0.35 (50) = 50 + 17.5 = 67.5
