The local community theater sold a total of 240 tickets for Saturday night's performance. They sold 180 more full-price tickets than discount tickets. Which system of equations can be used to model this situation?

    Assume that the number of full price tickets sold is x and the number of discount tickets sold is y since the total number of tickets sold is 240 then x+y=240 and since full price tickets sold were 180 more than the discount tickets x=y+180
